We just received our 2015 milk awards. Very proud of our girls. Our Northern Dawn herd has been on Once a day milking (OAD) for around 2 1/2 years, and thus we don’t receive nearly as much volume as we would like. Employment is keeping us busy working six days per week. Thus, its next to impossible to milk twice a day (TAD) as we would like.
Our Awards and/or Quantities for 2015
Note: We have on Once a day milking for around 2 1/2 years. Loss in production is around 30% over a 305 day or Extended Lactation period of 12 to 22 months.
